The Baptismal Font
- Simon, the Evangelical Minister, baptized people here.
- Boots were placed on the font as ornamentation.
- Some suppose the this was Simon's joking way of giving everyone the "BOOT into heaven!"

The Boots
- Notice the small ceramic boot. It's about 3 inches high.
- The two molded boots are life size.
- It is thought that Simon poured mortar into a real boot; then cut the boot away and smoothed the mortar.

Another Feature of the North Wall
- What appears to be igneous rock ia actually the waste metal from the blast furnaces of steel mills.
- This 'waste' was used for ballast in empty freight cars and then dumped along the tracks before the empty cars were loaded with goods and materials.
